City by the water

Had a pretty vivid dream last night about this creature/monster tearing apart the city... The city i was living in was surrounded by water, and the city had built these barriers in the water out of anything from rocks to metal barges, half sunken ships, large chunks of scrap. The scrap was up to even 50 ft high, and some areas the land had actually moved into the scrap, so it was just sticking out fo the ground. The purpose of these barriers was to protect the shoreline and prevent the land from washing away due to the waves and current. Most of the barrier was foating and chained to anchors under the water. My dream starts out with me and my friend Scotti walkin around the edge of the city, doing nothing really, and gettin to this area where thre wasnt any barrier any more, which was unusual. We didnt think much of it and moved on. We met up with our friend Matt to go out fishing on this barge. The river that went through the city was much like the schuylkill river in philly. Dirty muddy water, and concrete walls on both sides. We were initially fishing off this barge at the docks and not catching anything. The 'captain' of this rusty barge was john goodman...lol he decided to take us up river to a spot where thre were more fish. We ended up going really far, and he said there wasnt enough time to get back before dark so we ended up in this huge metal cavern. It was dimly lit, but it had really high ceilings. We tied up to this small rckedy dock in the corner. There was a ladder that went up 2 or 3 stories to this arched space that was maybe 10 ft deep. We were casting our rods off from up thre and catching stuff. There were only 3 kinds of fish. The ones we caught the most of were yellow-orange with thick black vertical striped, red tipped tails and were no bigger than your hand. The captain told us to jump in. When I did, this swarming wave of fish came towards me and went through and around me. They wre all really hungry fish and were trying to eat me, but they were harmless. There was a toilet out in the open on this dock and were were taking turns crapping off of the ledge of this arched room, trying to land our crap in this toilet fro 3 stories up. Yes i got mine in. Morning came and we got dropped off back at the dock we started at. My dream then cut to a scene in the house i am now living in. My roomates were there, and my one roomate carlos came back with this girl he's friends with. They jsut came back from some event and she was really drunk. We were all on this plywood platform that I built dancing or something. That girl jumped on carlos and started making out with him. She was drunk and fell down, taking him with her. Then we were all sitting on the couch chillen, kinda drunk. this girl is sitting next to me and drunkenly starts kissing my neck, and then i realize she's trying to give me a hickey so i pull away cuz i hate hickeys. On the news, thre were reports of sections fo the protective sea barrier disappearing, and vague footage of some sort of thing tearing them down or sinking these pieces of metal with what looked liek some large armored tantacle. I even want back to the water's edge and watched some of the debris being sunk by this creature. Then my dream cuts to me being in this circular building. there was some event going on because there were a lot of people. this place had lower ceilings, and the outer ring floor was open to the ocean water on the outside. there was similar, but smaller debris blocking the water. the ceilings were low and there were a lot fo pilalrs, there was an inner circle about a foot higher than the ground on the outer circle. the floors were tile. all fo a sudden there was this crashing and screaming, lights flickering. i knew what is was, but other people didnt. I saw this thing from a distance. it didnt look like anything i expected, but it was definitely terrifying in ym dream, because i knew what i coudl do. I ran the other way, i was with this girl 'E'. after running awya with the rest of the crowd, i realized that running was futile, this thing was gonna catch up to us. It came from the water and was now on land, i figured it wouldnt be looking for people in the water. so i jumed into the water and swam with this girl behind some debris. peolpe started to follow me. i swam until i was cornered between this finished wood thing and the wall, with the deep water under my feet. I told everyone to be quiet because it would pass us as long as it didnt know we were there. Of course, there was some pussy scrawny kid freaking out, panicing. He wa slpashing, gasping, grabbing onto people and we all knew that our survival depended on this kid being silenced, so we all instinctively grabbed him and held him under water gfor a good minute or 2. then brough him up and told him to shtui the fuck up. He looked delerious and messed up but he was quiet. Then he was just staring at the girl i was with. He grabbed her shirt and was violently trying to pull it, and started splashing around. the thing was getting closer, so i grabbed the kid into a headlock and took him under water. no one disagreed with me, and they jsut watched in silence as i drowned this kid, and pushed his lifeless body away under the water into the abyss. We were all dead silent as the creature passed. It looked like a giant walwrus with shorter tusks. (i know kinda wierd, but it was terrifying in my dream) By this time, the military had responded to the beast. I ws in the military posted up in an area of the city waiting for this monster to come by. We got orderes to pull out, but we were very far out. I radioed in and got a tank brigade to agree to come pick us up. I was in one fo the tanks, driving it, when the monster came out. It was hovering, and it was about 50 yards away my another one of the tanks. the other tanks positioned their turrets toiward this thing and fired at it, but by the time we fired, it had already cruched the other tank. We turned tail and ran because our tanks didnt really hurt it. we were all in our tanks driving of this rickedty and rusty red bridge. Then i woke up
